The Storm Family Welcomes the Austin's Finest 16U
The Austin's Finest 16U team has merged Storm's 14U through 18U teams this spring, to form an even stronger club. The Finest have proven their abilities lately as one of the best teams in Central Texas since their 10U days. Last summer, the team qualified and played in the PGF 14U Nationals in California. Welcome aboard all Finest players and parents!


Storm's College Committments Continue
Cunningham to Dayton, Poole to Chicago

This year's Austin Storm college recruits are spreading out, with destinations ranging from Corpus Christi to Chicago to Pittsburgh, PA.

Congratulations to junior outfielder Riley Cunningham (#5, Lake Travis) on her verbal committment to attend and play college softball for the University of Dayton Flyers in Dayton, OH. The Flyers play Division I softball in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Storm family would also like to congratulate Jordan Poole (#2, Westwood) who will be heading to the Windy City after graduation to play for the Univ of Chicago Maroons softball team.

Storm senior centerfielder Bailey Alanis (#10, Elgin) committed to play ball for the Tigers of East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. Another senior, third-baseman Alyssa Burnett (#44, Brenham) will be joining the Pitt Panthers after graduation. Junior pitcher Elizabeth Carter (#27, Westlake) has committed to the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders.

The Austin Storm Club Mission:
1) To cultivate and develop its younger players to prepare them for high school softball, and
2) To further develop its high school players in ASA and college exposure venues to prepare them
for recruitment into college-level fastpitch softball programs.


Coaching Positions Available
The Storm has part-time, paid positions available for dedicated coaches. Ideal candidates will have college softball playing experience with some coaching experience preferred (no parents, please). Must be organized, timely and reliable and provide references. Interested candidates should call Phil Koehler at (512) 633-7742 to schedule an interview. You may also attach a resume and send by e-mail to the web guy and it will be forwarded to Coach Phil.
