The Austin Storm is involved in community service in the Central Texas area in order to give something back to the community. It is felt that through involvement, our athletes will develop a wider perspective of the needs of the community, an appreciation for those who are not as fortunate, as well as a greater awareness of their own worth as a member of the community. Therefore, all players are expected to participate in any community service activities that the Storm Organization performs. This community service can also be used toward the player's community service requirement in the school system. On Nov. 6th, 9 girls from the Austin Storm 14U team participated in the Austin Race for the Cure. Thanks for representing our organization in this great cause! The past few weeks the Austin Storm Red's and Blue's have been putting togehter keychains and brochures for packets to be handed out during theSusan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Austin on November 6th.
The Austin Storm in the past has participated as volunteers for Trail of Lights, AUSTIN BLUE SANTA, DISCOVERY TOYS benefiting Austin Children's Hospital and AUSTIN COATS FOR KIDS programs. Copyright 1996-2008 Austin Storm, all rights reserved. Page updated 01/23/2008. |
